How do I enter a new endowment account?

Click the ACCTS button on the menu bar and enter the appropriate information and then click save.

How do I enter a new account but do not want it part of the endowment pool?

 

 
A. After entering the new account infromation on the accounts screen uncheck the unitization flag. this will ensure that this account is not part of the ppol and will not participate in unitization or receive distributions from the unitization pool.  
     
Q.

How do I change a gift entry after it has been batched to an account?

 

 
A. The only way to change a gift that has already been batched and posted to an endowment account is to un-batch the gift using the batched gifts report.

If you change a gift after it has purchased shares you need to re-unitize the month that held that gift.

Can I export my reports to excel or other data formats like csv?

 

 
A.

Yes. After generating the report, select Data then export from the menu bar.

 
     
Q. How do I see a summary of units by month?  
 

There are various reports used to see a summary of units by month. the two most common reports used are the:

Endowment Book and market Report

Multi-funds transaction report

Each of these reports are accessible from the reports menu item under predefined reports.

How do I see the donors and donations that have been made to a specific endowment account?

 

 
A. Use the Fund profile report accessible from the menu bar.

What is the standard unitization method used by endowment manger software?

 

 
A.

The endowment software is setup to use end of month unitization as the standard. But the system does support beginning of month unitization.

 

 
     
Q.

How do I customize the contents of the Dept., Use, and Purpose fields on the account screen?

 

 
A. Goto the tools menu and select table maintenance. This tool allows you to configure user information and fields.
